SMART COMMUNICATION MODULE FOR DENSO ROBOTS
Speedy commissioning thanks to ready-to-connect communication modules
Thanks to the ready-to-connect communication modules from Zimmer Group, activating and integrating intelligent IO-Link and Digital IO grippers with cobots and industrial robots from DENSO is as easy as can be. Here, the Smart Communication Module (SCM) from Zimmer Group translates the IO-Link communication system into digital inputs and outputs (Digital I/O) and vice versa, thus ensuring data exchange to the robot control system for the most information possible. To set up this information exchange optimally and as simply as possible, prepared cable sets for DENSO robots are available.
Compatible with all IO-Link grippers
No matter which grippers from Zimmer Group you have, all IO-Link gripper components can be used with the right adapter plate between the specific DENSO robot flange and ISO pitch circle. As a gateway for the end effector, the SCM – an integrated communication module – communicates with the robot control system. This ensures complete and simultaneously easy activation of the end effector, without losses and with maximum safety and reliability. The uniform interface ensures maximum compatibility with DENSO robots. The voltage is supplied directly by the robot in order to transfer information from the robot flange to the DENSO RC8A robot control system (Hand-IO) reliably and without faults.
Maximum convenience with intuitive software
The combination of the Comfort app and TP-RC7/8 control panel enables convenient and direct activation and programming of the gripper functions using the teach pendant, thus combining the benefits of an easy setup, including essential commands for efficient and smooth automatic operation. The robots from DENSO and the extensive portfolio of end effectors from Zimmer Group ensure the perfect conditions for highly precise, optimal automation with industrial robots and collaborative robotics.

Steffen Wissel: "Denso, as a leading manufacturer of industrial robots in the compact segment, offers six-axis robots in load capacities from 2.5 to 60 kg and ranges from 430 to 2500 mm; In the area of SCARA robots, from the 350 mm to 1 m range and load capacities up to 20 kg. We offer these robots in a standard design as well as in IP65 for dirty environments and even clean rooms. We also have special solutions, such as a communication flange, and the integration of grippers, like those from Zimmer here at the booth."
