LINEAR DRIVE FOR YOUR HANDLING PROCESSES

PRECISION, DYNAMICS AND SPEED

PRECISION, DYNAMICS AND SPEED

Long-stroke axes are essential components in automation technology and offer reliable solutions for precise linear movements over long distances. Spindle axes and toothed belt axes in particular have proven themselves in this area. Spindle axes are characterized by their high precision and feed forces, ideal for applications that require accuracy and load capacity. Toothed belt axes, on the other hand, score points with their high dynamics and speed, making them perfect for fast motion sequences and large working areas. Discover the advantages of both axis types and find out how you can take your production efficiency to a new level with the AMS and AMB series.

OUR EXPERTISE – YOUR ADVANTAGES

High forces and torques
In combination with the integrated guide rail, the optimized axle profile enables maximum absorption of forces and torques.

Optional drivetrain
The drivetrain, which consists of a clutch, gearbox, motor, drive control system and other accessories, is available upon request.

Maximum movement speeds
The optional spindle support enables high-feed speeds, even with long strokes in a gentle manner.

Short cycle times
Maximum speeds of up to 5 m/s and acceleration of up to 50 m/s² are possible.

Integrated clamping element
The optional clamping element allows high clamping forces without interference contours or longer overall lengths.

WHAT’S INSIDE

THE TECHNICAL FEATURES IN DETAIL

Carriages
The AMB series features three carriage lengths and up to two carriages per axis, which reliably support their loads. Numerous threads with locating holes and centering sleeves support reproducible mounting. Thanks to the magnets installed as standard on the slide, optional magnetic field sensors can be easily integrated – even at a later date.
Clamp (optional)
For additional safety, the toothed belt axes can be supplied with or without integrated clamping, depending on the requirements. The optional clamping element fits perfectly into the carriage. This means that there are no interference contours or increases in overall length. Thanks to the NC design, the position can be held securely without compressed air – saving energy and costs.
Cover strip and DEFLECTION
The optionally available cover strip reliably protects the inner workings of the axis from external influences such as dust and dirt and helps to minimize maintenance and lubrication requirements while also extending the service life of the axis. By snapping into the axis profile, the cover strip securely seals the profile against dust and dirt and reliably holds it in position.
TOOTHED BELT DRIVE
Designed for maximum speeds and acceleration levels, the long-stroke axes with toothed belt drive are particularly well-suited for applications that require high dynamics, short cycle times and a large stroke. They also excel in terms of drive torque and high skip-proofing.
Lubrication system
Small quantities of lubricant are sufficient for convenient maintenance. This reduces effort and costs while ensuring high reliability and a long service life. The axles have lubricating nipples on both sides, which ensure good accessibility – even in confined spaces. An automated lubrication system can also be fitted as an option.
DRIVETRAIN
The linear axis with belt drive from the AMB series can optionally be supplied with a complete drive train. The symmetrical design ensures simple connection of the selected and coordinated drive components in four possible positions.

SPINDLE DRIVE
The spindle axes feature precision, rigidity and high feed forces. Thanks to the ball screw drive nut, they enable low-friction and precise movements. The available pitches allow the axis to be configured for high speeds or high feed forces.
SPINDLE SUPPORT
The newly developed, modular spindle support effectively prevents the spindle from swinging open and enables high travel speeds – even over long strokes. This is a crucial factor for longevity, accuracy and efficiency.
